Threats — Deduction Puzzle by Ben Quick
Drag the pieces on the grid so that the number of squares attacked or occupied equals the numbers shown. Pieces follow standard chess rules. Pawns attack upward. Each cell shows only the remaining attacks or occupied squares needed.
Inventory
Drag from palette below. Drag a placed piece off the board to remove.
Description
- Place every piece from your inventory onto the board so that each square's number equals the total count of pieces attacking or occupying it. Drag pieces from the palette onto the grid; the numbers update as you go and turn green when a square is satisfied. Sliding pieces (rook, bishop, queen) are blocked by other pieces. Pawns attack diagonally upward.
- Check — compares your placement against the generated solution and tells you whether it matches.
- New board — regenerates a fresh puzzle using the current size and inventory, then clears your placements.
- Reveal — fills the board with the hidden solution so you can see the intended answer.
